Before we start, I wanted to take some time before on 2 Comment fighter, a strong support in certain communities as one of the best ever, but really not a place on the list.

No ranking

Rocky Marciano - Won 49 Lost 0, 43 KO

If you ask an Italian who hear the greatest boxers of all time, and you will never be the names Ali, Louis or Sugar. No. You only hear the name Rocky Marciano, the only heavyweight champion to retire undefeated. To his credit,Rocky Marciano was in the habit against his opponents in the ring. Moreover, his most important victory over his childhood idle, Joe Louis, whom he sent back into retirement. But Joe was well beyond his prime. He beat Archie Moore, but he was already in the early forties. Thus, to the whole nation in Italy and their children, I could tell you, Rocky Marciano did not beat a master in my top ten

Lennox Lewis - 41 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, 32 KO

Lewis islikely to be one of the most intelligent, always calculated masters. But that is not what is based on pound for pound. Lennox was in prison, Tyson govern tenure as champion to benefit, then got out before the Klitchko brothers were the legacy he has created for himself to be reversed. He stayed an extra 4 years as an amateur to a gold metal against younger opponents (Riddick Bowe to win the medal bout). He then became champion only because Bowe gave the title. He was evasivethe way Tyson) (adoption of a large multi-million-dollar payout by Don King as payment for Tyson taking his ranking as he wanted to move back to the championship, which was handed to him to recover. I believe him the story for the wrong that he will really judge.

And now, the top ten of the best boxers pound for pound:

10 - Mike Tyson - 50 wins, 5 losses, 2 no contests, 44 KO

No other fighter has been called "the fattest man in the world." Mike Tyson was perhaps thefeared person in boxing history. To move Buster Douglas Iron Mike, Mike Tyson made fighters give up. Going up through the amateur ranks, boxers actually lost on purpose, not to fight Tyson in tournaments. How ironic that Tyson's worst defeat was not a boxer, but a beauty contestant named Desiree Washington. It is a great chance that had Tyson not suffered a 3-year setback, he would have moved easily and widely recognized as one of thethe best ever.

9 - (Big) George Foreman - Won 76 lost 5, 68 KO

Foreman's opponent was greatest enemy has always been himself. He could not accept defeat too. After he built a reputation as one of the most dominant fighter ever, took him out of his loss, Ali professional boxing for over a year. He made his first comeback attempt in 1977, beating his next 5 opponents (including Frazier, again), only to withdraw after losing a 12 round decision. A decade later, Foreman made an improbableComeback at the age of 38 Foreman is back near the top of the boxing rankings, and despite suffering setbacks against Holyfield and Tommy Morrison, Foreman shocked the world when he stunned Michael Moore with a knock out in the 10th Round. His next fight further revealed that even his late 40th Foreman was still a powerful force.

8 - (Sugar) Ray Leonard - 36 wins, 3 defeats, 1 draw, 25 KO

Leonard has been on this list, if only for the pure psychology he was able tocause his opponents. Only Ali could get into his opponents head more. There are also all tracks has its own in several weight classes, and you have your number 8 all time. Like most great fighters, he just did not know when to quit, you have to ignore the last fight of his career. Sugar Ray beat them all, from Duran (No Mas, No Mas), to Hagler, then Hearns, Sugar Ray share fell only because of its own problems. He first retired due to a retinal detachment, and it canargues that damaged a serious cocaine habit, 84 to 89 more of his career.

7 - (Marvelous) Marvin Hagler - 62 wins, 3 losses, 2 draws, 52 KO

Yes, we have the Marvelous before Leonard, though Leonard beat Hagler in their meeting. Hagler was so distraught that through the loss that he left before, and even refuses to talk today is about fighting. Hagler only 2 losses were early in his career, and he answered them by beating both fighters. He wouldcontinues to dominate the middleweight he did not suffer psychologically debilitating loss to Leonard. While Hopkins was World Champion in the middleweight longer could use more, it can be argued that he never faced opponents of the caliber of Duran and Hearns, Hagler, both beaten.

6 - Archie Moore - 181 wins, 24 losses, 9 draws and 1 no contest, 145 KO

Looking to the plate, it is easy to see why has the "Old Mongoose" or "Ancient Archie" is on the list.Archie's career spanned over 4 decades and the only fighters who have been confronted by Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali. Archie was a better heavyweight than he was purely a Heavyweight. He had his light heavyweight title away from him twice because he was too busy fighting with a higher weight class. No other fighter has put as many opponents as professional Archie out of action.

5 - Roy Jones Jr - 49 wins, 3 losses, 38 KO

This particular selection is highly controversial, and may end upRoy with the removal from the list completely. Although there is no denying his talent, there is a question whether his production and his opponents unfairly drive section in its status. Winning a world title fight paid after the basketball game that day was formerly unknown. As always, a middleweight champion in all the way up to heavyweight. Before his last two fights, was Jones' only defeat a fake name after he against Montell Griffin, which he was quickly disqualifiedavenged. Jones has at least justified on the basis of the examination, and a first entry in the list.

4 - Joe (Brown Bomber) Louis - Won 68 Lost 3, 54 KO

While it seems to be a dispute as to whether 5 of his wins were by knockout exhibition matches or not, there is a consensus not seriously take 2 of his 3 losses in failed comeback attempts. The last and most humiliating defeat was an 8th Round KO through the ropes by Rocky Marciano. The Brown Bomber was so deep in debt that he triesback far beyond his prime. The fact that so much cultural identification was thrust on his shoulders, Joe Louis was not only one of the greatest pure fighters, but a true icon for the 2nd Class citizens in America. Joe is best for his 1st Round knockout of Max Schmeling in Germany announced in 1938. Schmeling defeated the favored Louis in 12 years only a few years earlier. Even if Joe the Heavyweight Title won by knockout, he refused to be a master, until he settled the score with Schmeling. Itis this attitude that made him a national hero despite his color.

3 - Julio Cesar Chavez - Won 104 Lost 5, 2 draws, 80 KO

Julio is a Mexican boxer who won world champion titles in 3 different divisions. Among the world champions that Chávez defeated in his career, Edwin Rosario, Jose Luis Ramirez, Rocky Lockridge, Meldrick Taylor, Roger Mayweather, Sammy Fuentes, Héctor "Macho" Camacho, Juan Laporte, and Tony López. Chavez 13 years ago did not win a fight, with ato draw Pernell Whitaker, and it was a year later, before he suffered his first defeat, which avenged 4 months later. Only in the last 8 years of his 24-year career, Chavez has acount for 4 of his 5 losses to 3 different oppenents. He could lose his revenge for Willey Wise, but not in the second attempt, Oscar De La Hoya.

2 - Mohammed (Louisville Lip) Ali - 56 won lost 5, 37 KO

In my book, Ali will go as one of the greatest men of all time. As a purelycan be a boxer who just had a "what" during his 3 years dismissed after they refused to Vietnam prevents him that the best ever. He returned after 3 years of losing, his first of three asking Joe Frazier. Both were unbeaten at the time. The same happened with Ken Norton. In both cases, Ali came back to whup them in the next 2 fights. Although the two became friends later, Ali is also credited with knocking Foreman in the ring, from boxing, and in the pulpit. Leon SpinksAli was given during the last years of his life, but Ali is still coming back to him in 1979, plays. What happened to Ali in the next two fights against Holmes and Berbick is eerily similar to what is happening now, with Roy Jones Jr. In both cases, the 2 fights in that which should contain an otherwise spectacular career.

1 - (Sugar) Ray Robinson 179 wins, 19 losses, 6 draws, 2 no contests, 109 KO

While many fighters have kept that nickname has over the years, is not as sweet as Ray has beenRobinson, whose real name was actually Walker Smith Jr., Robinson won the middleweight title in an unprecedented 5 times. Even Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray named as one of the greatest boxers of all time (it is rumored that Robinson refused to actually give an autograph when Ali Ali hit him while Ali was still young, and Clay). Unlike Moore, Robinson did the majority of losses at the end of his career.

Honorable Mention

Floyd Mayweather Jr - 32 wins, 0 losses, 21 knockouts

Now considered(probably) as the best active boxer Pound for Pound

Roberto Duran - 103 wins, 16 losses, 69 knockouts

He will forever by scar through his 8th Round end job at Sugar Ray Leonard.

Evander (Real Deal) Holyfield - 38 wins, 7 losses, 2 draws, 25 KO

Was undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion of the world. He was also the man who was the aura that was destroyed Mike Tyson. It is his place in boxing history have, but not at all as one of the largest.

(Smokin ') JoeFrazier - 32 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw, 27 KO

Also one of the most feared fighters ever, but 2 losses to Ali and Foreman will keep him in the list.

Thomas Hearns - 59 wins 4 loss 1 draw, 46 KO

AKA "The Hit Man" and "Motor City Cobra" Hearns won seven world championships in six weight classes during his 22-year pro career. But Leonard loss (his first) and wants to keep him Hagler from the list.

Bernard Hopkins - 45 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, 1 NC, 32 KO

Moresuch as Hagler, Hopkins had a slow start to his career. When he finally won the belt, he has defended against the best the 90s and 2000. He is taken at the end in the top 10 in the eye.
